Staff Nurse
Job Title: Part-Time Nurse (RN/LPN)
Location: Central Coast Treatment Center, San Luis Obispo, California (In-Person)
Job Type: Part-time (Approximately 8 hours per week)
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (Dependent on license and experience)

Central Coast Treatment Center is a JCAHO-accredited healthcare facility dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients. We specialize in treating individuals with eating disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions, offering a supportive and multidisciplinary treatment approach.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a part-time basis. The nurse on duty will play a crucial role in patient care, with a primary focus on:
Taking vital signs and assessing patients' medical status.
Coordinating with outpatient services and communicating with physicians regarding patient care and medication changes.
Providing support to both patients and the clinical team.
Maintaining accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
Participating in performance improvement activities related to infection control, risk and safety management, medication management, and record quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patient health status, including taking and documenting vital signs.
Communicate effectively with outpatient physicians and CCTC team members regarding patient care, medication updates, and treatment plans.
Maintain strong documentation skills, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping in the EMR system.
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and intervene as needed.
Provide education and support to patients regarding medications, side effects, and health management.
Engage in performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with facility policies and accreditation standards.
Requirements:
Active RN or LPN license in the State of California
Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and First Aid certification
Valid driver’s license
Strong communication skills to collaborate with physicians, peers, and leadership effectively.
Knowledge of medications used in this patient population, including their potential interactions and side effects.
Ability to recognize, intervene, and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
Preferred: Experience or training in eating disorders (training available if needed).
Plus: Prior behavioral health experience is beneficial.
Schedule & Work Environment:
Flexible shifts within regular program hours.
Work is performed in-person at a JCAHO-accredited facility.
